Arachne was set up in 1991, originally just as Arachne Software. In the beginning, we produced two chemistry-related applications aimed at the education market. Arachne has since produced software as diverse as a multimedia authoring package and a database system for GPs. More recently, the Arachne Recording division was set up. This specialises in the digital recording, editing, and basic mastering of music, ready for the production of audio CDs. Arachne has always been a part-time venture, consisting of a number of people working in their spare time. We do not believe that this undermines the quality of our products or support, and it allows us to work on more specialised projects than would otherwise be possible. |
