Arachne began life writing software for Acorn computers running RISC OS.
Our main product, Arachne Molecular Modeller, achieved widespread use
in UK schools. We were later responsible for porting the HyperStudio
Multimedia Authoring package from the Apple Macintosh.

Commercial pressures at the time of Acorn's demise forced
my move to mainstream Windows software
development. To avoid any conflict of interest, Windows software from
Arachne is free and in a different market sector to that of my employer.
